Monday, Jones was quoted is USA Today as saying that wrestling is "something to do, to keep me out of the streets while I have my little off-time from my real job, and, I'm a big fan of wrestling, so I wanted to give it a try."

Isn't simply being an adult enough motivation to keep someone "out of the streets"?

ESPN will stage a 90-minute live town meeting Wednesday in San Francisco examining how Bonds' potential record might affect baseball (6 p.m. ET).

How riveting.

Ted Williams is often remembered for being the last player to hit over .400 in a season. But his overall stats are incredible, and show just how great of a hitter Teddy Ballgame was over his 19 year career. His career line reads: .344/.482/.634. Those are amazing numbers. His career OPS is 1.116. In 7,706 career at bats, he only struck out 709 times, once every 10.9 ABs. In 1941 he struck out just 27 times in 465 ABs, once every 17 ABs!

Barry Bonds is often considered the best hitter of this generation. And although he is a cheater, here are how his numbers read: .299/.445/.608, with a career OPS of 1.053 over 22 seasons (including the first half of 2007). In 9,714 career at bats he has struck out 1,520 times, once every 6.4 ABs

Alex Rodriguez's career line reads: .306/.387/.577. His career OPS is .964, in 14 seasons. His numbers are excellent. He gets paid $25 million a year for these numbers. But when compared to Ted Williams, and even Bonds, he has some work to do. In 7,086 career ABs he has struck out 1,475 times. Once every 4.8 ABs.

Ichiro, who many consider one of the best in the game today reads, in 7 seasons: .333/.379/.439/.818.

The iPhone is incredible. The hype leading up to the release of the device was pretty intense. But the phone lives up to it all. It is impressive on every level. You really have to use one to really understand.

Well, the Rocket finally started for the Yankees today. He pitched rather well. As I guess Roger Clemens is known to do. I still think the Yankees overpaid, by about 20 million, but hey...it's their money. Well, it's Roger's money now.

So far I am enjoying watching the Pinstripes struggle. I have never been much of a Yankee fan, and so to watch the most stacked offensive team in baseball lose a lot, because they have no one who can pitch is satisfying.

But baseball season is long. And I suspect with the bats they have in the lineup that they will be around in September, fighting for a wild card spot.

But then, maybe not.

In related news, Soriano hit 3 HR's in one game, so I guess the Cubs finally got vindication for all the money they threw at him. Right?
